In this this miniature painting I sought to express the dreamlike calm which can sometimes settle into not just my mind but seemingly my whole being in moments of reflection. There is something about late afternoon light in the spring and Autumn washing in through a large window that can often induce that welcome state of languid contemplation.
This painting is presented floating in a bold trinational Cortona Frame, a custom 3.5" wide hand finished and gilded molding that features a warm red undertone, dark top finish, with distressed and antiqued patina.
